Dust Storm Silhouette
23.09.09 – An amazing red ball of dust swept through New South Wales leaving everything in its wake clothed in a beautiful gritty layer of orange and red.
This is a tree in our street and the small bright speck is the sun. Today you could comfortably look directly at the sun without sunglasses and it had a slight blueness about it.
This shot taken at around 11 in the morning, the light was highly diffused and quite eerie.
Nikon D700 with 24-70mm and a raincoat to keep out the dust!
